FROM THE HSC President
Dear Fisher Families,
Welcome to the 2025-26 school year at Fisher Middle School! The Fisher Home and School Club (HSC) is a dedicated group of passionate parents and educators united in our mission to enhance every child's education at our school. With the support of amazing volunteers, we organize exciting fundraisers, including our renowned Dodgeball and Fun Color Run in the spring, ensuring everyone has a fantastic time. In partnership with One Community Los Gatos (OCLG), we are committed to providing essential financial support for our school’s curriculum, Music teachers, Art Docents, Steam ToSAS, Guidance Counselors, Dance teachers, and Technology for every student. Your involvement is invaluable, and we invite you to engage in our fundraisers and share your unique talents and time to make a lasting impact in our school and community. Your active participation enriches our school and helps forge connections with other extraordinary parents, educators, and the broader Fisher Middle School community. I eagerly anticipate meeting you and seeing you at our upcoming events, working together for the success of our school.
Warm regards,
Nitze Dormady

DO YOU KNOW?
Do you know how many opportunities your child has at Fisher Middle School? One Community LG focuses on providing students with many options so that students can make their own choices concerning their education. One Community LG funds many of these electives thanks to contributions from parents like you.
Students can choose elective classes such as dance, STEAM, band, choir, or orchestra. During lunch, students can choose to participate in intramural sports, organized by our Noon Sports Coordinator, or relax in the Wellness Center with our many counselors. Student clubs at Fisher are also funded through One Community LG, as well as many after school community building activities, such as the recent Camp Trojan.
All 6th grade students participate in OCLG funded electives since they are either in the Music Program or the Wheel, which includes dance and STEAM. Many 7th grade students continue with the Wheel, which includes STEAM, or are in the Music Program, and some 8th grade students participate in both Spanish and music as their electives. Regardless of which elective your student participates in, it is important that all students be given the opportunity to make a choice at any point in their Fisher career.
Ask your child to tell you what they did in their elective or at lunch this week. To find out more about what your contributions to One Community LG will fund, please visit www.onecommunitylg.org.
